I Want Daddy!!!

Last night the kids all wanted Daddy. Do you know how rare that is? They didn't want Mommy to read to them, pray with them, or to even tuck them in! It was all about Dad last night.
I mean I understand when I tell them no so they want Daddy, but putting them to bed? Really? It seems they learned very early on who they could go to to get away with certain things. You want candy? Go to Mommy. You want to stay up later? Snuggle next to Daddy.

As relieved as I was to have a little break, which I had no idea what to do with by the way, I was a bit heart broken as well. What did I do wrong? Does Daddy do it better then Mommy? Do they love him more now? Have they been poisoned against me? What's the deal?

Of course this was a fleeting moment and there really was nothing to fear! Come 3am who did they want? Yup ~ Mommy! Did I remember that I felt bad for not being picked to be in the line-up hours earlier. Nope - not a chance! I was kicking their Daddy to get up! (after all, he is the favorite right?!)

The balance was once again restored!

The First Post

Your living is determined not so much by what life brings you as by the
attitude you bring to life; not so much by what happens to you as by the way
your mind looks at what happens.

-John Homer Miller

Hi! As a mom of three active children who think they rule the house and are determined to make my mother's prediction of "Wait until your children act just like you!" come true, I hope to conjure up some laughter, ideas, and inspiration for everyone.

~Really, I just wanted to have a place to share all of the crazy life adventures that happen to the best of us! If that other stuff happens then that is even better!

So you already know I will be blogging about my kids and life. Mixed in will be things about my business. I teach people how to tighten, tone, and firm and lose inches in just 45 minutes! I love sharing how to get healthy, feel better, look younger, and live longer! I have been doing this "job" for almost 2 years now and never grow tired of it! Who would get tired of helping people feel better? Those huge smiles are very addicting! But don't worry, I am not a good salesperson- I just love to share what I find!

I am a teacher by trade. I taught children who are hearing impaired for many years. I taught children from babies up to 6th grade. I loved my job, my staff, the parents, and mostly the children! It was an amazing experience filled a lot of satisfaction! However, after years of infertility, miscarriage, adoption, and giving birth I found that my place was home with my children who I fought tooth and nail to get into my life! There is no place I would rather be! (expect maybe with all of them on a beach right now!)

As I learn more about all of this blogging stuff and share stories of adventure please feel free to comment on my posts and share with me! Some days the computer is my only contact to the "real" world of adults!
